does booked support multple ways for authentication

for instance could I configure it for LDAP and also have local users ?

Yes. We have it set to auth against ldap and if that fails, auth against the booked database.

this is indeed a config option in the LDAP config file

however, we are getting an incorrect behaviour when a non-ldap account attempts to change their password. They request a temporary password which is sent to them but then the system fails to authenticate them

I used the temporary password added the salt (took it from the db) at the end of it and fed the resulting string to sha1sum (in the linux terminal). I was thus capable to verify that the hash of the temporary password in the db is correct

it seems that the system treat a user test@gmail.com the same as a user from our ldap domain user@mydomain.do

any ideas ?
