Create a reservation after "current time"

Hi,

Is it possible to set a resource to accept a reservation after "current time" as long as the resource is free and unreserved ?
For instance:
a resource is unreserved between 12:00 - 13:00,
the current time is 12:10,
a student would like to reserve the resource for the remaining time.

Is there a setting or configuration to make that happen ?
