Registration approval by administrator

Hi, I have used Booked scheduler for a number of years and recently I decided to update the system from scratch. On my previous version I am sure I could allow users to register. This allowed the user to input their details and register but were still not able to log in until the administrator approved their registration. Is this still a thing? I have been through the application configuration and am unable to see this option.
Am I missing something? I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks
