Hi,

I am new to Booked Scheduler and had trouble finding an answer to this in the forums, but please let me know if the answer is available elsewhere.

In our current configuration, when a user logs in and goes to make a reservation, they can see every resource that we have set up in the system, independent of their permissions to reserve it. Since we are hoping to add quite a few resources, this quickly becomes cumbersome for the user. Is there a way to hide resources that a user cannot reserve from the drop down and their ability to view? Seems like I must be missing something pretty simple.

likely there is a post on this, though it is simple enough.....

in config/config.php (where you will find several "where do I set...." answers Smiley

Hi.

Thank you very much for your reply! After I posted this, I searched the forums more and it looks like there are a lot of options if you have a self installed version and have direct access to the codebase. We are using a hosted version, so it looks like the only way to change this setting would be to contact booked scheduler support directy to update it for us.

Yes, there are 'limitations' on the hosting provided by Twinkle Toes Software...... - though this one you should be able to overcome in the Admin configuration page (Web/admin/manage_configuration.php).  As far as I know, they don't stop you from going there......

You can see a list of comparative features of what we offer for our Booked Scheduler Hosting with no 'limits' at https://apps-n-add-ons.com/product.php?prodId=BookedHosting - where you have full access your files and your own data.  We do find it a bit 'odd' that the makers of an open source program limit the access to it when you host with them (seems counter-intuitive somehow....)

Hopefully you can get to that setting in the page referenced above - or have a fast response from those that have access to your settings.
