If things AREN'T working for IE, look at the "compatibility" settings (under the "Tools" menu). If it is in compatible mode, things won't work (or at least they didn't for me). Upgrading to a 2.8 version from a 2.7 version changed the SQL stuff. I haven't done this upgrade (yet), but you may need to re-do the database. Go to "manage application" (it is the "gear" in the upper right corner of the "admin"" page. When the page comes up, the entry (about 1.5 pages below) is "Use local js libs",which has a True/False radio button. Try the "true" setting. While it may (MAY!) speed things up, it also might not. The problem may (repeat, MAY) be that the access to the javascript libraries may be "slow". The application configuration menu (cog on the right side) has an item to supply these "locally", which could speed things up if the access is slow for the internet versions.
