Blank Page

Post by jakealake »

Hey everyone. I am trying to install Booked on our Linux server but I am running into some problems. I am up to the Automatic Schema Setup portion of the instructions, but when I get to "Open https://yourhostname/booked/Web/install and follow the instructions." I get the error message:

"The web server (such as _www on Mac or apache on Linux) must have write access to ../../tpl_c. The permissions are set as 0755. you can either change ../../tpl_c to froup for example: _www/apache accordingly or change ../../tpl_c to have permission 777 which is only for testing due to security vulnerability.

I then change ../../tpl_c permissions to 777, and receive a completely blank page. Any idea what's going on?

SOLVED. for those who encounter this issue, transfer the extracted files as text instead of binary.

I am having the same problem on a new redhat install. Coping everything over as text did not help.
