Can't Log in All of a Sudden

Post by bullet1001 »

Hi all. Our installed system has started to return "We could not match your username or password" message for all users when trying to log in. The database seems fine and I can access the admin section because I was already logged in with the admin account. Changing passwords for other users didn't help and I can't find in the code where the error is getting generated. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hello

We are experiencing the same problem in recent days.
Apparently, the authentication through the LDAP server is working -
the username is displayed in the upper-right hand corner of the page.
But the schedule doesn't appear, only a message about an "unknown error".
The log file contains no useful information.
This is extremely strange, as we have made no modifications in the installation
for a long time.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Yosef

Fixed it myself. For anyone in the same boat, this was the solution:

Was finally able to trace through the layers of code and found where the issue was and also found the log files (in the Windows Temp directory). Our IT Operations team had decommissioned the Active Directory server specified in the config files. Replaced with new server name to fix the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the information, but apparently our problem is different.
I suspected the LDAP server, but it is authenticating correctly,
and as administrator I can perform some maintenance tasks.
Something is getting stuck between the user authentication
and display of the schedule.

Interestingly, switching to a test installation of a newer version
of Booked (2.7.6 rather than 2.5.7), running on the same Linux server
and MySQL database, seems to have helped - after login, the schedule is
displayed and reservations can be created.
